NHS Bath and North East Somerset in partnership with Bath and North East Somerset Council are committed to raising the standards of services and care delivered to patients, service users and clients.
The organisation achieves this through the attainment of national quality standards and service targets. NHS B&NES and the Council have implemented an integrated performance framework to monitor progress against the key targets and objectives, across the breadth of its responsibilities.
The performance management framework aims to:
- Reflect our key priorities
- Ensure that effective monitoring and reporting mechanisms are in place across the whole of the organisation
- Ensure that service area leads have ownership of, and are accountable for, their targets
- Ensure that action is being undertaken, where necessary, to address any areas of underperformance.
Performance management
Currently we report monthly on exceptions against targets, risks, achievements and finance activity.
Partnership monitoring
NHS B&NES and B&NES Council are monitored against targets in a number of areas. This information is reported to the PCT Board, B&NES Council and the Partnership Board for Health & Wellbeing.
